PolitiPolls collects minimal data necessary to operate the service:

• Poll Responses: Your answers to poll questions
• Optional Demographics: Age range, gender, state, and income range (only if you choose to provide them)
• Browser Fingerprint: A hash used only to prevent duplicate responses (not linked to your identity)
• IP Address Hash: We hash and anonymize your IP address
• Email: Only if you subscribe to notifications

• Your name or personal identifying information
• Your exact age or birth date
• Your exact location or address
• Any account or login information (for poll participants)
• Cookies for tracking or advertising

• Aggregate Results: Your responses are combined with others to show poll results
• Demographic Weighting: Optional demographics help us weight results to match U.S. Census distributions
• Duplicate Prevention: Fingerprints prevent the same person from voting multiple times
• Notifications: If subscribed, we email you about new polls

Poll responses are retained indefinitely to maintain accurate historical data. You cannot delete individual responses because they are anonymous and cannot be linked back to you.

Email subscriptions can be removed at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in our emails.

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties except:

• Hosting providers: AWS Lightsail hosts our servers
• Legal requirements: If required by law

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising services.

• Skip demographic questions when taking polls
• Unsubscribe from email notifications at any time
